Biography

Pascal Vianin is doctor in psychology. He is currently a researcher and psychotherapist in the psychiatry department at Lausanne University Hospital (Centre hospitalier universitaire Vaudois, DP-CHUV). He obtained his doctorate in 1999 and then a university degree in cognitive and behavioral psychotherapy in 2006.
He participated actively in research projects on cognitive deficits in patients with schizophrenia in Lausanne, Copenhagen and Lyon, and designed RECOS, an innovating cognitive remediation program for patients with psychosis. The cognitive rehabilitation stage is based on a detailed neurocognitive assessment and consists of training modules adapted to each patient’s profile.
An increasing number of psychiatric centers in France and in the French-speaking part of Switzerland now use the scientifically validated RECOS therapy. Pascal Vianin is also a member of the direction board of the Francophone Association for Cognitive Remediation (AFRC) and offers RECOS trainings on a regular basis.
